The Muppets Get Raw!!!

From time to time, if the show is special enough to warrant it, I am going to recap episodes of Monday Night Raw. This week's show gets the treatment because it's Halloween (Which means the Divas will have some kind of horrible match involving costumes), The Rock is returning to answer Cena's question from last week (On Raw, is a question REALLY a question if the fan's already know the answer?), and MOST importantly, The Muppets are guest hosting. Yea Muppets! (I have nothing negative to say about The Muppets...I love them). So....it's time to play the music, it's time to light the lights.....

I made it easy if anybody came to this site just looking for info on what The Muppets were up to, and really don't care for the wrasslin'. Just look for the Yeah Muppets! tag throughout the article to read about The Muppets adventures on Raw.

I have been looking forward to this episode of Raw since they announced it almost 2 months ago. I love the Muppets, so lets hope WWE doesn't disappoint me. I think my hopes for this show are a little high, but we'll see.

So the show starts with The Rock answering the question Cena asked him last week. Will he or won't he be Cena's partner. Ummm, The Rock tweeted months ago he was teaming with Cena at Survivor Series, so I think I know the answer to this. His answer took approximately 15 minutes to get out, and of course Rock wasn't there live, which always tends to diminish his performance a little, in my opinion.

Yeah Vince, I want to pay to see HIM main event Wrestlemania...

Alright, time for our first match of the night. CM Punk fights Mark Henry. Johnny Ace says if Punk wins he can fight Del Rio for the WWE title at Survivor Series. I bet Alberto or his ring announcer get involved in this match. What do you know.....Alberto Del Rio sends his toady in to attack Mark Henry which gets Punk DQed. Then Punk dives on Del Rio and Toady. That's right, I capped Toady. That's his official name around here now, since I can't be bothered to remember what his name actually is. So Del Rio runs away and Punk throws Toady into the ring so Henry can squash him.

WWE is advertising that in two weeks Raw gets rocked with the Rock's long awaited return to Raw. Long awaited? Wasn't he just on like 7 months ago? Actually, wasn't he on earlier tonight?

Yea Muppets! Kermit and Miss Piggy rise up from the hole Rey Mysterio usually pops out of. Piggy calls herself the original Diva when all of a sudden "Excuse Me!" Vicki Guererro and Jack Swagger come out. My bad by the way...The Muppets didn't rise out of Rey's hole (THERE'S an image for you!) they just rose up from behind a wall set up on the Raw stage. Swagger says he is gonna turn Kermit into frog legs and they better leave the stage before Swagger gets a hankerin' for a ham sandwich. Swagger literally ends the threat with "Wakka Wakka" which is kind of amusing. Kermit says they didn't mean to come out and upset Swagger and his mom. Damn Swagger, I know you have fallen from your main event world champion status, but you just got dissed by some felt! Piggy and Guerreo then start arguing and bumping chests shouting excuse me at each other. I am totally amazed Lawler can withhold throwing out a "Which one is the pig?" line. Then Santino comes out and says John Lennon Jackass (That's how he pronounced John Laurenitis) has set up a match between himself and Swagger. Swagger then reminds him he is a former world champ, and again, I want to point out that Swagger was just dissed by a frog with a man's hand up his ass....my how the mighty have fallen. Santino then announces that Dolph Ziggler will compete tonight as well against Zack Ryder. Kermit and Miss Piggy must be huge Ryder fans because they start saying "Woo Woo Woo...You Know It". Then for no apparent reason, Kelly Kelly comes out dressed like Zorro the Gay Blade and kisses Kermit which pisses off Miss Piggy. Oh wait, surprise surprise, there is a Diva costume Halloween battle royal coming up next so I guess Kelly Kelly had a reason to come out. Actually, since all the Diva matches suck now, I should have said Kelly Kelly had no GOOD reason to come out.

Zorro, the Gay Blade...No lie, Kelly Kelly was pretty much dressed in this outfit.

So the first (and I hope not only) appearance of The Muppets on the show was kind of entertaining. So far as guest hosts they are better then ZZ Top, but not as good as Bob Barker. Hopefully they won't end up being as bad as Al Sharpton, or make as many mistakes as Jeremy "Summer Bash" Piven.

So let's see Kelly Kelly is dressed like George Hamilton, the Bellas are dressed like Mario and Luigi, uhh...Eve is dressed like Robin, umm...Sneezy is dressed like Dog the Bounty Hunter, uhh... Blitzen is dressed like...DAMN IT...I give up! I can't name more then four of these Divas. One of them is dressed as Kitana from Mortal Kombat and trys waving her fans at another nondescript Diva. That was kind of funny. You know, the Diva dicision is are a shell of it's former self. What happened to the Trish's, Torrie's, Sable's, and Luna's of this division? I mean at least they used to have Maryse who was a least French which made her different. And it's too bad that right when Kharma came in to shake up the division, she had to go and knocked up.

I'm gonna be someone's baby momma!

I assume when Kharma comes back, that Vince will have a Maury Povich type segment on Raw where we find out who the baby daddy is. My guess is it will come down to Vince himself, Akeem the African Dream, and Naked Mideon. Of course the big twist will be that it was some heel wrestler (I'm thinking Christian), who will deny it even though there is DNA proof. Then some face (I'm thinking Zack Ryder, the WWE writers will be looking to bury him in a horrible angle by then) will defend Kharma's honor. Eventually they fall in love, and he proposes to her. That of course leads to a horrible engagement storyline that ends with Christian crashing the wedding, and then Kharma turning on Zack and joining up with Christian....What? You know it has a at least a 50/50 chance of happening.

Yea Muppets! Professor Honeydew and Beaker are backstage making an enrgy drink for Santino to use in his match againt Swagger. Beaker then rushes out to deliver it to Santino, when he runs into the future Mr. Kharma Christian (Who now that I think about is, is the WWE wrestler who most resembles a Muppet) Christian spills the drink and starts pushing Beaker around until the love child of Beaker and Chris Masters arrives. That's right, it's Sheamus to the rescue! Sheamus scares Christian away and stares at Beaker. They both start speaking some gibberish I don't catch and then Sheamus says to Beaker he is sorry he cant make the family reunion this year, but tell Aunt Theresa he says hello. Then he fixes Beakers hair to make sure it is standing up straight like his. This was actually a very funny segment, that is probably funnier if you watch it, then reading my bad description of it.

OK, next up Air Boom come out to some horrible generic music that just has someone saying boom over and over again. Thank god we go to commercial. And when we come back we get to witness my number one complaint about Raw right now. Smackdown. Raw is now the "Raw Supershow" where the stars of Raw AND Smackdown compete. Only problem is 90% of the time it's a Smackdown guy vs. a Smackdown guy. I'm all for Evan Bourne fighting Daniel Bryan or Wade Barret vs. John Morrison. That's at least something I can't see on Smackdown because it's Raw guys versus Smackdown guys. But if you are just going to have the Smackdown guys fight each other why bother? If I wanted to watch Smackdown....I would WATCH Smackdown! Anyway Air Boom is fighting Wade Barret and Cody Rhodes. The announcers mention Wade Barret has a Polish symbol on his trunks. Is Wade Polish now? Was he ALWAYS Polish? I'm confused. The only way I'm happy with Wade's new Polish heritage is if he starts doing the Polish Hammer as his finisher, and he goes and finds Scott Putski and talks him into being his new tag team partner. Anyway Barret and Rhodes win and then the Fake Suntanned Canadian Christian comes out and helps beat up Air Boom. Then Beaker comes out all roid ragiging and helps the faces....wait my bad it was Beaker's relative Sheamus.

Hey fella' I am not Professor Honeydew's bitch!

Yea Muppets! Waldorf and Statler in the box seats of the arena. Waldorf keeps talking to Statler who keeps saying "WHAT?!?" ala "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Waldorf then says they have gone from Stone Cold to someone born in the stone age...that was bad. Is Cena writing the jokes for The Muppets now?

We go backstage where CM Punk asks John Laurenitis what's he have to do to get a title shot...ride a skateboard? I love the weekly skateboard comments John gets every week, they never fail to make me chuckle. Laurenitis says Punk will get his title shot when Del Rio agrees to it.


NO SHANE! I will NOT give you a job when I am the 3rd most powerful man in pro wrestling...

Now Raw is announcing a BIG returning star.....Oh man...Brodus Clay is coming back next week...I can't wait for the talentless white male version of Awesome Kong to make his return. I still say Vince hired him because he thought to himself "Wouldn't it be cool to have a white Viscera?" What are the odds that when Clay comes back he is wearing a giant garbage bag, or is topless wearing suspenders? Also, I tend to be pretty good at predicting what wonderful things we will see on Raw in the future. For the last couple of weeks, someone has been missing from the show after being given a pretty big push after Wrestlemania. Then I saw the Brodus Clay promo and I figured it all out. Not only will Clay return next week, but so will another young star.


Yeah I'm booked to be squashed by Brodus Clay, but at least I'll be on the show.

I bet you Alex Riley wishes HE had thought of carrying a Flip camera around everywhere and posting videos on the internet. Woo Woo Woo, You Know It.

Next up is Del Rio vs. Big Show in a non-title match. Big Slow, I mean Show plods his way down to the ring. Show is rocking some weird beanie hat and what looks like a lumberjack's beard. Whatever, anything is better then the big diaper look he rocked when he fought Akebono. I find Big Show so boring lately. The guy is HUGE....he has to be good for something. I've got it! He makes a perfect home base for the other wrestlers when they are playing hide and go seek.

Peek-A-Boo...brother...

Show fought Del Rio for way to long. Big Show KOed Del Rio or something, I don't know I fell asleep and woke up when CM Punk's music started playing. He walks to the ring where Del Rio is still knocked out. He sits down next to Del Rio in that "class, please sit down on the floor indian style" way he does, and says he is gonna squeeze Del Rio with the anaconda vice till Del Rio agrees to giving him a shot at the Survivor Series. Guess what happens? That's right it will be Del Rio vs. Punk at Survivor Series.

Yea Muppets! Gonzo and Fozzy are in the back hallways when Vicki says excuse me! She is accompanied by Kurt Angle Jr. with a lisp and Dirk Diggle. They stretch gonzos arms and wrap them around his body to make some kind of point about no Muppets interfering in Swagger's match with Santino. It was slightly funny. At least I got to see Gonzo and Fozzy, two of my favorite Muppets.

Wrestlemania tickets go on sale this Saturday. WWE is promoting Cena vs The Rock as the most anticipated match of all time? Did they not see that Hulk Hogan vs Sting just took place at Bound For Glory?

Yea Muppets! Time for Santino vs Swagger. Animal is the guest time keeper for the match and bangs the hell outta the bell. All American American Kurt Swagger runs out into the ring and does his run around the ring and pretend I am an airplane impression. Santino comes down with the Mr. Socko snake on his hand. (Words can not describe how much I HATE Santino's stupid cobra sock puppet!) Santino has talent, it's a shame he dont get to use it. During the match Swagger does push ups on Santino, which was interesting. Lawler then asks why Vicki is dressed like a witch? I am tired of the King always picking on Vicki Guerrero. Some big company should start a national anti-bullying campaign about so Lawler can learn how wrong it is to bully people! Beaker shows up and gives Santino the energy drink Professor Honeydew made earlier in the show. Santino spits it in Swagger's face (In front of the ref, mind you) and scores the pin.

OOPs! I guess Lawler didn't get the memo.

Woo-Woo -Woo vs Dirk Diggler is up next. Ryder gets a pin but Ziggler gets his foot on the rope. Vicki grabs Ryder's leg when he gets up and Ziggler goes for the Zig Zag. The Internet Champion grabs the ropes though, blocking the move, and Ziggler stumbles. One Rough Ryder later and its over. I actually really like Zack Ryder. WWE is always telling their wrestlers to go out and get themselves over. Ryder is over HUGE with the crowd, and he pretty much did it all by himself, without any help from the WWE creative team.

If you told me when he debuted that THIS guy would become a rising star, I would have laughed at you.

Hey remember when Nash attacked HHH last week and they wasted 40 minutes of the show by replaying it 20 times? Well after the break we get to see it again! After watching the attack we are told HHH will be out for at least 5 weeks. We are also told Jon Lennon Jackass has granted HHH his wish and resigned Nash. Next week Nash will appear. If he wrestles, I assume he will fight a jobber....or Alex Riley.

Cole then asks for our attention. He says JR is not showing up for his match against Cole because he has bowel problems. Vince McMahon has an unhealthy obsession with JR's ass. Cole then pulls out an adult diaper and says Ross should wear one of these. Then said will Ross be there to accept Cole's challenge next week....He replies....Depends...Wow, apparently Cena is writing the jokes for The Muppets AND Michael Cole. Yea Muppets! Waldorf and Staler say whats worse then listening to Micheal Cole? They then reply nothing! I guess they have never heard Booker T or Taz do commentary.

Yeah Muppets! We cut to backstage where Miss Piggy is rubbing John Morrison's abs. She asks him out to dinner (Ohhh...Melina is gonna be pissed!) John says he can't but he's got just the guy for her...HORNSWOGGLE! I'm glad the little guy made the show. He is a HUGE Muppets fan, and even went on twitter trying to get the fans to bug WWE about getting him on the show. Horny shows Miss Piggy the tattoo he has of The Muppets on his ankle. Miss Piggy says it's beautiful, and Horny can't control himself so he kisses Miss Piggy. I guess he is hoping to get a chance to PORK her (HA! See what I did there?) Miss Piggy sppurns his advances though and karate chops him. She leaves and Kermit enters. Horny gets up all excited holding his hearts and runs out of the room. In comes Cody Rhodes who brown bags Kermit. Again, it was a pretty funny segment, but watch it because my description probably doesn't do it justice.

Finally my favorite part of every episode of Raw....The Miz is HERE! Michael Cole has his usual Mizgasam as the Miz makes his way to the ring. He will be facing John Cena tonight, and The Truth (My OTHER favorite part of Raw each week) isn't with him. This is going to go one of two ways. The SMART way: Truth shows up and Cena gets his ass handed to him which builds to the Survivor Series match...Or the DUMB way: Truth shows up, and Cena beats both Truth AND Miz up, which kills any heat they might have for the Survivor Series match. The match starts and eventually they brawl around ringside when Ghostface from the Scream movies comes from the crowd and attacks Cena (PLEASE be former WCW champ David Arquette under the mask!). Of course, Ghostface is The Truth. And of course eventually Cena saves the day, beats up both Truth and Miz, and gets the pin to win the match. WHY WY WHY would you end Raw like this? If Cena can take out both guys, why does he need The Rock to tag with him. Unless Cena turns heel on The Rock at Survivor Series (Yeah THAT will happen) there is absolutely no reason to have Cena and The Rock team up at Survivor Series.

All in all, this Raw didn't live up to my expectations. The part with The Rock was like his previous taped appearances. The Muppets were funny in some segments, and not at all in others. And the end of the show was just about as dumb and predictable as it always is. Well, I guess I have Brodus Clay to look forward to next week....

Lollipop Chainsaw
I know, I know....zombies are kind of played out. But this game from Suda 51, of No More Heroes and Shadows Of The Damned fame, looks awesome. I really like the grindhouse style behind it, and I love me some blood and gore. I haven't bought a straight out hack n' slash action game in a long time, but you can be guaranteed I am picking this up.The game releases on April 24 2012

Chronicle
I know, I know....movies shot with that hand-held camera/realistic style (Think Cloverfield, Paranormal Activity, and The Blair With Project) are kinda played out. But Chronicle looks to be a fresh take on the genre. I always thought it was weird that in comic books there are so many superheros. I mean come on, if you had all that power, don't tell me it wouldn't be hard not to abuse it. Well from the trailer below it looks like exactly the type of thing Chronicle deals with. The movie releases on February 3, 2012.

The Triumphant Return of Beavis & Butthead?

Last night two television icons returned to MTV after nearly 14 years. That's right...Beavis & Butthead are back. Originally airing from 1993 - 1997, Beavis & Butthead were a pop culture phenomenon. Each half hour episode featured the boys in two different adventures with titles such as "Couch Fishing" or "The Great Cornholio". Whether the boys were in class with Mr. Van Dreissen, visiting an army recruitment center, or working at their part-time job flipping burgers and frying rats at Burger World, you knew you were going to be exposed to the crude humor and unique world view of the two dim-witted burnouts. Of course the best part of each episode was when the boys watched and commented on the various music videos that ran on MTV. The show became so popular that back in the day you could find Beavis & Butthed comic books, video-games, CDs (That's what we old folks listened to before MP3s kiddies), a full length feature film, hats, t-shirts, and other random knick-knacks. I am not ashamed to admit I was totally addicted to this show and had every episode taped on VHS (That's what we watched movies and TV shows on before DVDs kiddies...man a lot has changed). So the boys are back, but how do the new episodes hold up, and can Beavis & Butthead take the entertainment world by storm again?

In terms of holding up to the old episodes, the answer is a resounding yes. After watching it last night, besides the references to Harry Potter and the Twilight movies, I felt as if I was just watching an old episode that I hadn't seen. The format of the show remains the same. In last nights episode the boys, after seeing one of the Twilight movies, decide they need to become werewolves or vampires to get chicks and later Butthead continuously makes fun of Beavis for crying while watching an episode of "The Bachelor". The episode even featured old favorites like hippie teacher Mr. Van Driessen, Vietnam war vet and gym teacher Coach Buzzcut, and the boys favorite punching bag, Stewart. And yes, Stewart is STILL rocking the Winger shirt.

I DID notice two things pretty interesting about the new episode. First, it was missing the old warning that played before the old episodes started. You know the one....

"Beavis and Butt-head are not role models. They're not even human, they're cartoons. Some of the things they do could cause a person to get hurt, expelled, arrested, possibly deported. To put it another way: Don't try this at home."

MTV used to put that warning on before every episode of the old show because of the bad press they got after a child supposedly set fire to the mobile home he lived in after watching the show. Also because of this, Beavis was banned from saying one of his more famous quotes "Fire! Fire! Fire!". Well I guess a lot has changed because even though I was disappointed the classic warning was gone, I was happy to see that Beavis is allowed once again to shout "Fire! Fire! Fire!"

There are some other things that have changed in the last decade as well. Some are little things like the computer on Van Driessen's desk and the references to current shows and movies. Another thing is what the boys watch on TV. Yup, you read that right, the best part of the old show remains intact. The boys sit around and watch music videos while making smart-ass comments. I was afraid that since MTV doesn't really air music videos anymore, and the old episodes that are out on DVD cut most of the videos due to legal reasons, that this part of the show would be gone. But the the first new episode featured videos from MGMT, Skrillex, and LMFAO. Also, probably because MTV doesn't air many music videos anymore, the boys watched other MTV shows like Jersey Shore and Teen Mom. In fact one of the funniest parts of last nights episode was Beavis & Butthead's comments while watching MTV's "True Life: I'm Addicted....To Porn".

Another difference from the original episodes is that most of the animation is much better now. It's in HD so of course it's sharper, and it just seems like they are using more colors and it's drawn better. I say most of the animation, because during the parts where the boys comment on what they are watching on TV the animation looks old, like they are using the old animation style or recycling old footage. It in no way ruined the show, but it was noticeable.

So the boys are back. Now maybe it's because I wasn't expecting it to really hold up to the old episodes, but the first new episode was great! Unlike most other shows and movies that return after over a decade of hibernation, I felt like Beavis & Butthead didn't suffer at all. I just kept thinking to myself how amazing it was that it was the exact same show I enjoyed when I was 18. Which brings us to the second question. Can the boys make it in today's entertainment world? I don't know if the kids & teens (Do kids & teens STILL watch MTV?) who made Teen Mom and Jersey Shore hits are going to watch Beavis & Butthead. In all honesty I don't even know what kind of viewer MTV caters to anymore. I haven't watched the channel in years, except when my wife watches Teen Mom. I think the key to Beavis & Butthead being a success again is making sure that my generation realizes it's on MTV and that it's still as entertaining as it used to be.

So to sum it all up, if you weren't a fan back in the day and thought the show was juvenile and crude, don't bother with the new episodes. If you LOVED the show because it was juvenile and crude, then you are in luck because your two favorite dim-witted burnouts are back. And if you missed it you can watch the first new episode below. I, for one, am looking forward to relapsing back into my Beavis & Butthead addiction. Huh-huh Huh-huh-huh....I said dick.

Bloodhound Gang Week! The Finale

Bloodhound Gang Week! Lucky #7

This week we celebrate one of my favorite bands, The Bloodhound Gang.

This is the last video off of their last album. A fitting end to the journey we've taken this week. When I first heard this song, I felt like it was just the Bad Touch: Part 2 - Touch Harder. But the more I listened to it, the more I really began to like it. Besides, you have to admit it's a great song title.

Ten WTF?!?! Cartoons Edition

There are pages and pages devoted to 80's cartoons on the InterWeb. Most of them cover things like Transformers, Thundercats, and Voltron. But what about those other great cartoons from the 80's. The ones that, when we watch them now, we think.....how did THIS get made? I present to you a list of 10 WTF cartoons from the 1980s.

10. Pole Position
Pole Position came out in 1982 and was on CBS. The show was about 3 kids who were kind of like spies for the government. How did 3 kids get such a job? They inherited them from their parents, who died in a car accident, of course. Sounds a lot like that video game you remember playing right? And as if that wasn't all strange enough, the younger of the three kids had a pet which looked like a cross between a cat, a raccoon, and a possum. Oh! Did I forget to tell you the cars transformed into other vehicles and could talk?

Here's another one for all you gamers out there:

9. Pac Man
Pac Man debuted on ABC in 1982. The show followed the adventures of Pac Man and his family. It was in this cartoon we learned that Ms. Pac Man had a first name (Pepper), and that the ghosts worked for an evil genius (Mezmeron). Mezmeron wanted power pellets, and had the ghosts do his bidding to try to get them. Why? I don't know, power pellets seemed to be laying everywhere around Pac Land. It's kinda like being an evil genius and trying to get used cigarette butts. You can pretty much find em' on the side of the road everywhere.

Now you are probably saying to yourself there HAD to be cartoons based on something besides video games back then. Well there were. One example is:

8. Rubik The Amazing Cube
Wow! Who knew a puzzle invented by a Hungarian sculptor could make a good kids cartoon? What could this show possibly be about? Maybe we should look to the theme song for some answers....

On a mysterious night,
Rubik Cube appeared,
bringing happiness.

Rubik Cube has changed,
everything in our lives,
he's colorful,
magical,
lovable!

Rubik,
he's are friend.

Rubik,
The Amazing cube.

Hmmm. That really didn't answer much.

That last cartoon seemed a little weird. Wasn't there something better for our kids to watch? Maybe something a little patriotic. Maybe something like:

7. Rambo
Yes. An executive literally thought to himself one day "Lets take a movie about a disturbed Vietnam vet, and turn it into a children's cartoon". I think this was his second idea actually. His first idea was AIDS The Amazing Virus. Luckily for us, test marketing showed kids preferred bows, arrows and explosions to syringes and unprotected sex. Anyway Rambo was a syndicated cartoon that premiered in 1986. The complete series is currently being released on DVD.

You maybe asking yourself, weren't there any child friendly movies they could turn into cartoons? Actually we have two on the list:

6. Teen Wolf
Now I actually liked this cartoon and used to watch it all the time. You might be thinking "Yeah me too!" So why is it on the list? I had to add it just for the fact that when I was little I thought "Where the hell did all these other characters come from?" In the movie there was just Scott and his dad. In the cartoon they are joined by Scott's grandpa (I guess he moved in), grandma (I guess it's a package deal with grandpa), his mom (I thought she was dead!) and his little sister (his dad must be into necrophilia, you know screwing the dead mom and all......do you think she likes it doggy style?)

Maybe the mom wasn't dead. Maybe it was like a trial separation, and she took the daughter with her. All I know was, to my very young mind, it was bizarre to see all these other werewolves that weren't even mentioned in the movie. Speaking of not being anything like the movie:

5. Karate Kid
I didn't even KNOW there was a Karate Kid cartoon. The show debuted on NBC in 1989. It centers around Daniel and Mr. Miyagi searching the globe for a miniature shrine that apparently had mystical healing powers. Yes....mystical powers. I can see how a young man's coming of age tale morphed into a globe trotting karate action series. I kinda do remember seeing this series when it was on the WB, except they called it Jackie Chan Adventures.

OK enough movie cartoons. Let's move on to TV shows. These next two are so odd, I have to assume the TV executives were tripping on LSD when they came up with these ideas.

4. Gilligan's Planet
Gilligan's Planet aired in 1982 on CBS. Now, you know how people always make fun of the fact that the Professor could make radios and shit out of coconuts and bamboo, but couldn't repair a hole in a boat? Well, apparently he was also able to make a SPACESHIP out of coconuts and bamboo. A SPACESHIP? Why didn't they just fly it to land? I don't know. But what I DO know is that just about the entire cast returned to voice the characters (except for Tina Louise who played Ginger). I also know that the cartoon's theme song pales in comparison to the original's.

3. The Fonz and The Happy Days Gang
This show took the idea of putting a popular TV show cast on a spaceship a little further. They put the cast on a TIME TRAVELING spaceship. The show premiered on ABC in 1980 and featured The Fonz (Ayyyyyyyy!), Richie, and Ralph. They also threw in a girl from the future named Cupcake (Hey....the Fonz has needs!) and a talking dog named Mr. Cool. Yes, you read that right.

When the series was canceled they then took the Fonz and Mr. Cool and put them into a Laverne and Shirley cartoon. A cartoon where Laverne and Shirley were in the army. Oh and there was a Drill Sergeant as well. He was a talking pig.....named Squealy. My brain hurts just from typing that. Lets move on:

2. Mister T
Mr. T is cool. Remember in Pee-Wee's Big Adventure when Pee-Wee put Mr. T cereal on top of his breakfast? That was some funny stuff. Anyway Mister T aired on NBC in 1983. It followed the adventures of Mister T as he traveled around the globe with a multi-ethnic group of young gymnasts.

Now, if you don't think the idea of Mr. T traveling with under-age gymnasts is so bad try this little experiment. Imagine the above scenario but substitute Mister T with Michael Jackson. See?....The cartoon seems kinda wrong now, doesn't it? And speaking of wrong, it's time for number one. Now all of the cartoons I mentioned were spun off from other things....but this one is totally original:

1. Turbo Teen
Stay with me here folks. ABC debuted a cartoon in 1984 starring a teen. But not just any teen....a Turbo Teen. One night a teen named Brett Matthews was driving during a thunderstorm. A bolt of lightning forces him to swerve off of the road. He then crashes into a top secret laboratory. The exact second he crashes into the lab a laser beam hits him. That beam causes him and his car to become one. Now every time Brett gets hot he turns into a car. And every time he gets cold, he turns back into a human. Yes....this IS a real cartoon.

I actually think Turbo Teen would make a great movie! The Farrelly brothers could make it. Can you imagine all the funny scenes there would be when Brett goes on a date? He makes out with a chick in a car until BOOM he turns into a car, busting out of the other car (and probably killing his date in the process). Or, what if he was about to have sex? They could show a girl get on top of him, and the next thing you know she has a stick shift in her...

Anyway, thats it folks. I hope you enjoyed it!

Explosion: The Movie - Part 2?

Here's the trailer for the 3rd movie produced by WWE films. The first movie was See No Evil, which I thought was a really good horror movie. The second was The Marine, which me and my brother refer to as Exsplosion: The Movie, because it seemed like every 15 minutes there was another random explosion.

Now here comes The Condemned. It looks like it COULD be better then The Marine, since it seems to have a cooler storyline, or it could just go the "every 15 minutes an action sequence ends with an explosion" route. As long as at dosen't have Austin running through a swamp for 45 minutes like The Marine had Cena do, it should be enjoyable.

I still think WWE films need to make a movie were "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is a redneck cop from Texas who goes to Miami to solve a murder. While there he has to work with metrosexual cop Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Much hilarity would ensue. C'mon it even has a sequel written all over it where The Rock then goes down to Texas and is the fish out of water in Stone Cold's world. Anyway, enjoy the trailer for The Condemned.

Based on these early pics, this movie looks like it will be the best shark movie since Jaws! It's called Meg and it's like they decided they wanted to remake Jaws for all of us that always felt the shark was too small. So how big is the new shark?

Unlike most Awesome Music Videos, this isn't a blast from the past. I don't think it's that new though. I really have know clue as to when this song came out, or what language half of the song is sung in. I may not even be a language.

When I watch this video I get the feeling that some music producers pulled a random crackhead off of the street and said "Here, here's some chick's in short shorts....go sing something and make a video!"

The reason this video IS awesome, is because

A. It IS bad...very very bad....and

Wow, one of the best shows on television maybe deader then Wild Bill. CNN.com is reporting that HBO "has opted not to pick up the options of the actors on the show, releasing them to pursue other projects". That SUCKS!

Deadwood was inching closer and closer to surpassing The Sopranos as my favorite show on TV (well, besides pro-wrestling and Robot Chicken of course!).

There is still a chance HBO may decide to do a fourth season, but an HBO rep said "it is highly unlikely that all the main cast members would be available to do additional episodes in the future."

High Score: The Movie

This movie looks really interesting.

It's all about a guy named Bill and his quest to beat the high score in Missle Command. Or should I say Miss Isle Command which is what one dork who works in a video game store calls it during the trailer. He estimates it will take him about 56 hours to set the high score....but hey, no one ever made history by being a big puss.

There's this great site I visit from time to time called Superdickery.com. They have a TON of comic book covers from the past that are so ridiculous they have to be seen to be believed. They also write hysterical captions for every cover.

The site's broken down into different galleries such as:

Sony Sucks at E3

You know me...I HATE Sony's Playstation division. Long story short I bought 2 systems over three years and all they kept doing was breaking...and Sony wanted me to pay to have them fixed....so F-U-C-K SONY!

Anyway, aside from the flop waiting to happen, Viva Pinata, Microsoft's E3 showing has been cool so far. And Nintendo....christ, don't call it a comeback, they've been here for years, but Nintendo is coming on STRONG! I watched the clip of four guys playing tennis on Wii and it was awesome. And Sony.....

BWA-HA-HA-HA-HA!

Christ they suck. Hey look we have a $600 dollar system...it's real innovative. We took Nintendo's idea for a controller, and added a button in the middle of it like a 360 controller. Oh, and we have an online plan that copies heavily from XBox Live. Pretty innovative huh?

Sonic The Hedgehog for 360

I really loved the first three Sonic The Hedgehog games for the Genesis. Then, they didn't appeal to me anymore. I have heard that the Dreamcast had a really good Sonic game, but I passed on the Dreamcast. In the last few years Sega has released a lot of shitty Sonic titles (Sonic Heroes, Shadow The Hedgehog, Sonic Riders). BUT they did release a GOOD Sonic game for the DS. So I have faith, after seeing this video, that we may have another good Sonic game coming. It definitely looks gorgeous!

This game looks AMAZING! So it will probably SUCK since it's coming out on the XBox 360. I'm crossing my fingers that the Microsoft wrestling game curse will be broken, but I don't know....

Two things I find interesting about this trailer....

A. John Cena hits Kurt Angle with a light tube. I don't think ANYONE in the WWE has EVER hit an opponent with a light tube.

B. Kurt Angle was about to do a moonsault off of an entry way New Jack style. He really shouldn't do that with a broken-friggin'-neck!

Do I detect a slight ECW feel to this trailer? I think I do. Hopefully will get an ECW game soon.

Adult Swim has done it again! Following hot on the heels of Fox's Family Guy, Saved By The Bell has been pulled from cancellation with an order for 30 all new episodes taking place at Bayside High.

"We were ecstatic when we saw the early numbers on Saved By the Bell on Adult Swim," said Matt Laster, the VP of Turner Entertainment's newly created 80's Reclamation Department. "We knew this had the potential to be big, but we never thought it would be this big. The fans have really shown their support and come out in droves on the adultswim.com website."

According to Laster, the new series is still in development but he did say that almost all of the original cast would be returning, minus "Showgirls" star Elizabeth Berkley. The series will follow the events after Saved By the Bell: The New Class and find Screech as the new principal of Bayside and a retired Mr. Belding as the proprietor of the Max, the hangout that the Saved By the Bell gang frequented. Screech is overwhelmed by the new group of students and puts out a call for help, and soon, all of the old regulars are back at Bayside. Laster would not elaborate on the status of Zack and Kelly's relationship, though the couple were last seen walking down the aisle.

"I've spoken to the crew and they really can't wait to get back together," said Laster. "We think this will be a fun and exciting new direction for Adult Swim and we can't wait to find even more great 80's comedies for Adult Swim."

Over at ProWrestling.com they have recently reported that ECW is about to make a comeback.....and I don't mean One Night Stand 2. ECW is scheduled to make a full time return this September! Anyone who knows me knows how much I love wrestling and how much I REALLY love ECW. Now a lot of fans complain that it's not really ECW if the WWE is involved. To them I say SHUT THE HELL UP! According to reports Paul Heyman and Tommy Dreamer will be in charge of the new ECW and, as they proved last year at One Night Stand, they can STILL put on one hell of an extreme show! Supposedly The Sandman and Francine have already been offered contracts.

Currently WWE is looking to sign up former ECW talents right away. Know one knows exactly how everything is going to work out, but you can click here and here to get more info about the rebirth of ECW.

Oh and another thing mentioned is that it will be a mix of old ECW stars and new developing talents. I think WWE may finally HAVE to bring up CM Punk!

The DS Lite is AWSOME-ER!

I want a DS Lite so bad. Everyone I talk to is like "I heard it has a smaller screen" and "It wil be harder to play because I have big hands". They need to quit their bitchin' right quick and go to this site! Then they can check out the great video comparing the old DS to the new DS. It's not even a close contest as to which is better. Look how clear and clean the DS Lite screen is. It's like the difference between regular TV and HiDef TV. Just make sure not to turn the DS Lite's brightness level to the highest it can go, according to the above site...IT CAN KILL YOU....

I dunno what to think about this movie. When I was really REALLY young I would buy Ghost Rider comics just because they looked cool. When I got older and read them I loved the stories of Johnny Blaze's encounters with demons & hell. In fact I recently picked up The Essential Ghost Rider from Barnes & Noble.

But this trailer just dosen't do it for me. Kinda how the Fantastic Four trailer was. I recognized the characters & understood the storyline, but it just didn't get me excited to see the film.

Buy the book, it will probably be better then the movie!

Hello everybody! (Hi Dr. Nick!)...lol. Anyway from time to time I find some cool sites that I just have to share with the world (or the 3 or 4 people who actually visit this site.) Anyway there's a cool site called StumbleUpon.com.

Basicaly it adds a toolbar to your browser, and you rate sites. Then when you click on the Stumble Upon button, it will take you to sites you may like based on your preferences. I've discovered a lot of really cool sites using it. Also, if you have your own site, you can go to it, click the tumbs up, and your site gets added to the Stumble Upon network of sites. So if you are looking for some new sites to browse you should go and get the Stumble Upon toolbar. And be sure if you do that you rate this site, and our forums with a thumb up!

I hate Sony made videogame products. Maybe it has to do with the fact that I bought 3 PS2s over a four year period and thay all broke, or maybe it's because I work in a videogame store where at least once a week somebody brings us a broken one. Anyway I want to see Sony's new system fail! It can happen in the blink of an eye. Nintendo and Sega both were on top at one point and fell, and I so want to see that happen to Sony.
